Korean seaweed soup is known as the ‘Birthday Soup’, as many Koreans eat this soup on their birthday as well as their normal everyday go-to soup. This is beacuse the soup is often the first food served for a woman who just delivered a baby as seaweed contains lots of nutritional goods that are known to help with recovery and producing breast milk.
