Korean Easy Meal Recipe: Mung Bean Bindae-tteok (Korean Mung Bean Pancake)

Bindae-tteok (빈대떡), or mung bean pancake, is a type of Korean pancake that is originated from the Pyongan Province. It is made by grinding soaked mung beans, adding vegetables and meat with flour, then pan-frying it into a round, flat shape, like a pancake.

Mung bean bindae-tteok comes from a dish that contains pork fat and leftover meat left over from eating pork by the poor people in the 1500s original city. In fact, it is said that if you grill it properly with pork oil, it tastes like pork. And since mung bean is rich in protein, it is characterised by a distribution of nutrients that is not much different from eating real meat.
