This complete kit is incredibly easy to prepare – the dough rises in just 5 minutes! It is a perfect treat to make with your children, and the dough is easy to shape to any desired size. One box makes approximately 8 delicious hotteok, with a wonderfully crispy outside and a soft, chewy inside, filled with a sweet brown sugar and cinnamon jam.

How to Prepare
Place 180ml of warm water, the yeast, and the pancake mix in a bowl and knead for 5 minutes.
Rub cooking oil on your hands, divide the dough into 8 balls, flatten each, and add a spoonful of filling to the centre.
Fold the dough over and press the edges to seal. Lightly oil and preheat a frying pan over a low heat.
Cook the dough seal-side down until lightly browned, then flip and flatten with a spatula. Cook for 1-2 minutes, flip again, and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes.
Tips
Be careful when eating, as the melted sugar filling can be very hot.
For an even richer filling, add more chopped nuts or seeds to the sugar mix.
