Description
[Sempio] Spicy Seafood Simmer Sauce brings the authentic, refreshingly spicy taste of Seoul’s famous Namdaemun ‘Galchi Alley’ to your home. The original dish became famous by word-of-mouth for its method of braising plump cutlassfish and large-cut radish until perfectly spicy, without any fishy smell. This convenient, ready-to-use sauce captures that exact flavour, allowing you to easily create a delicious and satisfying ‘rice thief’ meal.
How to Prepare
Lay radish slices on the bottom of a pot and place the trimmed cutlassfish on top.
Putting radish on the bottom helps the broth absorb and prevents the fish from burning.
Add the simmer sauce and water, close the lid, and let it simmer until cooked.
When the fish is cooked, add large green onions and turn off the heat.
Tips
This versatile sauce is also excellent for braising other types of fish, like mackerel or saury.
For an extra kick of spice, add a few slices of fresh chili pepper while simmering.
