Description
[Chungjungone] Dried Seaweed Sliced is a natural food made from 100% domestic Korean miyeok. Only soft, raw seaweed, carefully selected from the clean South Sea, is used. This seaweed is preserved with natural sun-dried sea salt and cut into convenient, easy-to-eat pieces. When cooked, it has a soft texture that doesn’t get mushy, making it perfect for a variety of dishes, especially the classic Korean seaweed soup (miyeok-guk).
How to Prepare
Soak the desired amount of dried seaweed in water for about 5 minutes.
It will expand to more than 10 times its original size, becoming like fresh seaweed.
Drain and rinse the rehydrated seaweed before using it in your cooking.
Tips
Use the prepared seaweed to make the classic Korean birthday dish, miyeok-guk (seaweed soup), with beef or seafood.
It can also be used to make refreshing cold salads, like miyeok-muchim (seasoned seaweed salad).
